Why I love Deconstruction

I love the the look that dropping stitches brings to a knitted garment. Its interesting looking, edgy. It almost feels as if you are breaking the rules by unraveling parts of your work. I love things that look like they have some history, I want to know that my sweater has lived life to it fullest.

Well It's Over . . .

Summer is pretty much over, and I'm so ready for jackets again.  I have always loved weather that requires a few light layers.

(Sigh)  These are a few items I have been coveting for this coming Fall:

Favorite Shops - Brownstone Treasures

There is a shop I frequent on Court Street called Brownstone Treasures.  I get a bit excited when I know I will be in the neighborhood, and I can't help but drop in.  

They have so many vintage finds, like this multicolored Sterling Silver ring I bought there.   

I also couldn't leave without a vintage Monopoly game.  It was too cute for me to leave without.  

They often have beautiful mid century furniture pieces out in front.  They have old magazines, clothing, jewelry, buttons, it's a great shop!
